Sizing up the Chinese Market
On January 26 there was a meeting in China between Breivoll Inspection Technologies AS (BIT) and the Shanghai SMI Water (Group) Co. Ltd., in which the possibility of using BIT's proprietary Acoustic Resonance Technology for the in-line inspection of water pipes in Shanghai was discussed. BIT's presentation was made by Mark Bond, the CEO, Roman Kalachev, BIT's Head of Asia based in Singapore and Alexei Yunkevich, BIT Board member and was focused on the successful introduction and track record of ART technology in Europe and Russia. As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to organize a visit of Chinese technicians to visit Russia in order to see real, live inspections for themselves in Moscow. This is a measure of the interest of Shanghai Water.
